Encore by Simonis is without a doubt a stylish place with a refined ambiance, ideal if you have something to celebrate. The atmosphere on Friday evening was lively, but this did affect the service. It took a little longer than usual before someone came by with the menu. This may be due to the busy weekend, but it was noticeable.

The dishes were well prepared and tasty, but the price-quality ratio is on the higher side. That's fine for a special occasion, but it's not a place I would go to every Friday. I just didn't think it was special enough for that.

All in all, highly recommended for a festive occasion, but not necessarily the go-to for a regular Friday evening.

Geweest tijdens Dinning with the Stars! Wat een top avond, het was zo gezellig en we hebben zo lekker gegeten. Bediening was echt top, heel vriendelijk en we hoefde nergens lang op te wachten.
Naast de hoofdact (waar je in eerste instantie voor gaat) waren de overige zangers en zangeres ervoor, ook echt heel goed en hebben er een feestje van gemaakt!! Voor herhaling vatbaar!

I had dinner here for a business meeting. Great atmosphere and despite the enormous number of covers, there is still a very intimate atmosphere in the place. The card is expensive, but great. Delicious sushi, tender steak that is flambéed at the table. Beautiful ambiance and good wines. Everything is right about such an evening and that also makes the business appointment a successful venture. I will definitely come back here.

Encore by Simonis continues to impress me with its exceptional food and outstanding service. During every visit to The Hague, it’s my go-to spot, and the dishes never fail to amaze. The tiger prawns, tuna tacos, and black cod are absolute must-tries—each bite a testament to the restaurant’s culinary excellence.

What truly elevates Encore beyond just a great dining experience is its team. The service is professional, flexible, and genuinely welcoming, creating an atmosphere where every guest feels valued. A standout example of this was a few months ago when I arranged a reservation for my parents all the way from Saudi Arabia. Rogelio Siem made the entire process effortless, handling everything with efficiency and care.

What really struck me was his extraordinary gesture of trust and understanding. To help me pull off a surprise for my parents, Rogelio allowed me a few days to settle the bill after the reservation, trusting me to pay later. This kind of personal touch, combined with their trust and flexibility, exemplifies the level of hospitality that Encore by Simonis delivers.

Encore isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience where the food, ambiance, and service come together perfectly. I can’t recommend it enough and will always look forward to returning.

Looks great, has a good atmosphere , but bad service, inexperienced staff, not a special experince. Prices are high but sometimes we pay high in order to get great service, but not in Encore.

Absolutely great

Food was fine. You have to love the atmosphere. Busy, loud music, a bit of see and be seen culture. The Cod was definitely worth the money. I would come back for that. For everything else, I would rather choose another restaurant from the higher price segment.

We had another fantastic evening. Was wonderfully good advice from the lady who served us.

Update; My last time was 2 years ago. Now i went back again last week and the food was still good. Especially their sushi's and the new york style cheesecake. However the Encore Sundae was such a miss, sadly. The cookie/cake below was so stale. Didnt add anything to the dessert. And the banana wasnt caramelized like a brulee. Didnt know if it was the case 2 years ago, but this time the music was incredibly loud. The service was luckily still good.

Mijn god wat een ervaring, we hebben daar ons 23 jarig huwelijk jubileum gevierd, een heerlijke ervaring die we de rest van ons leven niet meer zullen vergeten, eerst onze zeer grote complimenten voor de super vriendelijke (ober) Bram! Simones wees zuinig op deze jongeman! Hij is de aanwinst voor jullie bedrijf! Het eten is goddelijk waar zelfs een restaurant met Michelin ster niet tegen op kan, bedankt voor onze fantastische en onvoorgetelijke jubileum avond, en tot snel❤️

Delicious food! Atmosphere is great, service was excellent and the food, yes, it is very tasty! Especially the sushi and the crispy squid, highly recommended! We will definitely come back.

This place is just amazing, no other words needed

We thought we would have a nice dinner. The music was so loud you couldn't talk to each other. When we reported this, the service indicated that this appealed to a certain audience. We indicated that it was really too hard for us, but they didn't care about that. We came here very regularly but never again. Antisocial behavior regarding staff. Levels have plummeted drastically.

What a great experience at Encore! The food was simply delicious, every dish was full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The service was really great and made the experience complete. Keelan, our server, provided excellent recommendations and made us feel completely comfortable. He was not only professional, but also pleasant and brought a nice atmosphere to the table. All in all a great evening and I will definitely come back here again!

Ve trendy , sushi was nice and the crispy rice spicy tunas was the winner ! They have special deals on Monday.

We zijn er romantisch gaan eten, We werden uitstekend en hartelijk geholpen door onze Serveerster genaamd Mandy.Ze vertelde uitgebreid wat het eten inhield en de bereiding ervan erg behulpzaam en lvriendelijk. Volgende x eten we graag weer in haar wijk!!!!

What a nice place this is! Today we once again had a delicious meal (and drinks, thanks again for the delicious chardonnay!), helped very well by the nice and attentive waitress (a bit of an understatement, more like a hostess). Thank you very much! And until next time!

Unfortunately it was very quiet, but a separate lunch on Saturday, reasonable weather. The place is luxuriously furnished, some people may not like the high seating of some of the tables. The booth-like tables are comfortable but cramped for those sitting at the back.

The food is a mix of meat and fish and of course the fish, Simonis is a fishmonger after all, has the most beautiful products. Delicious food, the Sashimi and Crispy squid were good, the fried rice with shrimp was top notch. There was no room for dessert anymore

Good food, nice atmosphere!

Good food. Nice restaurant, however... Something also went wrong with the service. All the waitress said was: I'll pass it on to the chef. She didn't really feel like it. Atmosphere is normally nicer. We sat in a dead corner, which was very sad, especially when we made the reservation for my girlfriend's birthday. Downer. Food made up for it somewhat.

Unfortunately, the service was not as expected, we had reserved with a time, but upon arrival we had to wait at the counter for at least 15/20 minutes until we were taken to our table.
And the food took a really long time to be served, probably due to crowds.
The food was delicious despite the small portions.
My tip is to dine here during the week and not on the weekend!👍🏼

Delicious food! Super fresh sushi. Surprise was that on Monday the rolls were half price. The only disadvantage for us was that the music was too loud, so you couldn't hear each other very well.

Had brunch at Encore on Sunday. Theme was 90's R&B. What a great concept. Delicious food, friendly service, great music on a Sunday afternoon. Great to do with friends or family. We will definitely come back.

In all honesty, Encore ranks among the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. From the impeccable service to the exquisite food, every aspect of the dining experience exceeded my expectations. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you're in The Hague, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Encore. You won't be disappointed.

An excellent restaurant, but the quality deteriorates for groups. I was here with EY and the dishes were not as you would expect, quality-wise.

The restaurant is chic, neat and beautiful, the food is delicious and of high quality, and most importantly, the cocktails are excellent.

Overall had a great time here for a birthday dinner celebration. The atmosphere inside is really nice as it gives a cozy welcome plus style to make you feel like you’re in the right place where you want to celebrate a special event. The service was also great by the staff, kudos for that.

As for the food, I personally ordered a steak and I was underwhelmed by the taste of it. Another friend ordered the chicken with fried rice and I took a few bites of that, I must say I wished I ordered that instead. We also had some side orders of tacos and sushi which really caressed my tastebuds with great flavour, definitely worth trying!

Other than that, we ordered a few cocktails, specifically the Moscow Mule, and apparently they changed the brand of ginger beer used there, so the taste was very bland and flat. Thankfully the staff was helpful enough to explain the change in brands and why it didn’t have the ginger punch and offered to scrap the bill of the drinks.

All in all, I’d recommend a visit here for a nice night out!

Good food, nice location

We had an enjoyable and elegant experience, the food was very delicious and beautify presented, the waiter was very professional and the atmosphere was comfortable and cool. The oysters in particular were so fresh and tasty! 😋

Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. The food was so good! Large portions and well-flavored. Out of everything we ordered, the salmon torch sushi we could’ve left out, but the COCKTAILS highly recommend💕

We have been here 3 times. This is the best food in town! The location is amazing too.

However... It is getting 4 stars today because as expensive as it is (and usually well worth it!) we were very disappointed with our most recent visit.

Good things first:

The cocktails are beautiful and delicious. The interior is sleek and modern. The taste of the food almost brings us to tears.

Menu items that are well worth it:

Asian Style Chicken - crispy, sweet, spicy, and with cashews that are cooked perfectly.

Surf and Turf Maki - It comes in a cloud of liquid nitrogen that is in no way decorative; It makes the outside ice cold and the inside still hot! It is also served with a real wasabi root as thick as your thumb.

Royal Cloud - Eat 'em fast though! They are perfect when they arrive, but are quite delicate so they go downhill fast.

Green Bean Tempura

Deep Fried Calamari

Chocolate Bomb - Kinda touristy, but you have to experience it to believe it! Also comes full of liquid nitrogen.

OK. Let's talk about why this will sit at 4* rather than 5* until our next visit:

We came on Father's Day. They had a big event earlier than the day with a cover charge, so I suspect the whole crew were second stringers.

What follows is not normal for this establishment.

Our first waiter didn't bring us menus. We were handed off to a second waiter without comment, who immediately proceeded (after dropping the menus off without comment) to walk eight paces away and start texting on his phone.

The sparking water was room temperature. It is not normally.

The dish we were given had food dried on it.

The garnishes on the drinks were sub-standard; For instance a cinnamon stick that was burning two times before was unlit. The drink glasses had just come out of the washer and so were hot, bringing the drinks to room temperature when served.

The Asian Style Chicken, which we have had twice before and loved, was not cut into small pieces as it normally is. The cuts were ransom and if I'm not mistaken we got a half chicken breast completely uncut.

Finally there were bones in my cod.

These would all be expected at a €20 a person joint. But we pay more (€75 per person) and expect more.

Honestly I'm sure this will be back up to 5* next time we visit though. I can't stay mad at this place... They're awesome! We just came on a bad day.

It was a day off trip with my girlfriend. I wanted to surprise her with great Sushi!
We went to Encore in Scheveningen. They serve fusion sushi and other fusion dishes.

Food:
I think this is one of the better fusion sushi’s we have tasted. It wasn’t my first time but everytime they surprise me with their quality.
The nigiri’s with foie gras was very good!Sashimi on their style was fresh and clean, but most of all it’s tasty!
The maki rolls were great.
The sushi rating is 7/10

Service:
The food was wonderful, but do you want to know what was even better? The service.
The gentleman that was leading us to the table and also being our host for the night was a professional. The one thing that I am very annoyed of would be waiters that ask how everything went when we are paying the bill. Which means that they didn’t care about the tables the whole evening but only when you are paying. Those waiters can really learn how it has to be by seeing how hosts and waiters at Encore are working. Just a ideal example how it works.
Service is 8/10

Atmosphere:
I like the styling of the restaurant, it is very luxurious. The tables are nicely divided and you’ll get a lot of space.
Atmosphere is 8/10

Conclusion:
If you ever visit Scheveningen and having a long day of spending time at the beach or shopping in the Hague, try this place out! It is definitely worth it!

The place looks great and I love the tinted glass in front of the open kitchen; gives it a nice fancy touch. Next to the nice ambience and friendly staff we were happily surprised by the chef’s lobster menu who really went above and beyond to create high quality and fun dishes (and looking Instagram worthy). It’s a tad pricey but to get fresh seafood I’d say it’s worth it.
